Ahhh! Mexican food.
Its the best! I literally could eat it every day!! And every night. When I was pregnant with my 2 kids, I think I DID eat it every night! My mouth is watering, just thinking of how delish (and super easy!!) this salsa is! My 7 year old made it a few weeks ago (of course with some supervision!)
This recipe is so fast. Like under 5 minutes, start to finish! Its just so easy and quick, I have a hard time spending the cash on store bought salsa.
A few years ago, a friend of a friend brought salsa to a potluck….she had me at first bite! I begged her for the recipe and when she told it to me, I was in disbelief….it seemed too good to be true! The best part about this recipe is that its all about your taste preference. Add more cilantro, onion or garlic if that is what you like! Find out what you like and make note of it.
4 Ingredient Salsa
- 2 cans diced tomatoes (fire roasted is best, but not necessary)
- 1-2 onions
- 1 bushel cilantro
- 1-2 cloves garlic
- salt & pepper to taste (I like to use fresh ground pepper and Himalayan Sea Salt)
Optional
- jalapeno or red pepper flakes ( my kids eat this up, so I don’t use any heat at all)
Throw all of your ingredients into the food processor and turn on high for about 1 minute. done & delish! Put it container. Usually keeps in fridge for about 7-10 days. Mine never lasts that long.
Amazing on Eggs!!
I don’t chop up my onions any more than this. It turns out perfectly everytime!
I usually toss all of the ingredients in, order doesn’t really matter.
