For the last few years, I have been on a long journey to eliminating chemicals from my home making routines. I didn’t go through my house and toss every single bottle and package that had chemicals in it. It has been a long, slow journey that has helped me to try a bunch of options and stick with the ones that work. Just a few items that I’ve tossed out: tooth paste, deodorant, glass cleaner, counter top cleaner, laundry soap, face wash and a few more. During my journey, I found out is there are many ways to save money and lower your chemical factor in your home, with a small amount of work! I want to share my favorite 4 DIY Natural Cleaners that will help you clean your home naturally and easily!
One of my favorite benefits of making my own cleaners is that after you have purchased all of the supplies, you can quickly make up another batch when you run out, instead of having to run out to the store. I keep all of my supplies in my laundry room and when I need to make up some more Counter Top Cleaner, everything is ready to go!
I keep all of my cleaning supplies in a little caddy I picked up at a discount store, along with my Scotch-Brite® Scrubbing Dish Cloths that I picked up at Fred Meyer’s. These dish cloths are durable and have some pretty cool dots on one side to offer more scrubbing action than a regular dish cloth! Its like a dish cloth reinvented! These are great for counter tops, sinks, floors and wherever else you might need to scrub!
