It’s that time of year again! FALL! I have to say, I didn’t always love Fall. We used to live in the beautiful, wet, western Washington for all of our lives – until 5 years ago! Fall always meant the end of our amazing summers and it felt like it was going to be forever until we saw the sun again! But…now that we live on the eastern side of Washington (the dry side!) we get to experience all of the seasons! Fall is much more enjoyable when it’s still 65 and sunny most days.
One thing I like to do after the kiddos go back to school and I have more time on my hands, is to do those deep cleaning projects that I might not have had time for in the busy summer! I am still getting in a new routine, now that we have a new little one (see his cute face here!). I forgot how hard it is to get things done when you have a little one! I’m settling in again and its been so much fun! I might not get all of my cleaning done in one day, but I have lots of help and we get it done eventually (choose your battles, right??!!).
I am so excited to share with you some of my favorite fall cleaning products! Lots of these products lower the chemical load in your home and if you’ve been with read my blog at all, you know I’m on a journey to remove chemicals from our family life!
Time & Money Saving Cleaning Supplies

Seriously- I squealed when I saw this mop! I love, love, love the idea of getting to use my own non toxic cleaning solution and then tossing the fabric mop head into the washing machine! I get to re-use them! So cool! The mop head is washable for up to 100 times! I think it should last me a few years! The larger mop head also has 2.5 more surface area and it flips over so you can use the other side of the mop head- for a quicker job! This mop is a quick cleaning tool (something I NEEEEED with a 1 year old!) and I love that it is also eco-friendly.

2. Scrub Daddy: Sponge Caddy & Scour Daddy
I gotta say – If you’ve never tried a Scrub Daddy product – you need to! I’ve been a Scrub Daddy for about 6 months and I love them…and Scour Daddy is awesome too! I love that I can use them to clean my cast iron pans! The get them clean without scraping off my precious seasoning! It is something that is really important to me! I also love it because it maintains it’s shape! I keep one in each bathroom and in my kitchen to do tough scrubby jobs! The Daddy Caddy is so great because it sticks to any smooth surface, it drains into your sink and you can toss it into the top rack of your dishwasher to clean it up quickly!

As many of you know, I’ve been on a 7 year journey of trying to eliminate chemicals from our lives- one item at a time. 6. Duck® brand Roll-On® Window Kits
As a DIY-er I obviously like to do projects that save us money! I love these weatherization kits because it is an easy way to save money and energy with not a lot of effort! It took me about 5 minutes to winterize this window in my dining room. One thing I love is that once it is installed, it doesn’t keep out any of the amazing natural light that I love, while still providing a barrier for any air leaks or drafts!
The kit comes with a pre taped roll that you stick to the top of your window, cut down the side and then use the roll of double-sided sealing tape that seals the other 3 sides of the window. I have large windows and still had to cut some excess plastic from the bottom of the window. 
I installed this kit myself! Next project- cleaning my windows! HA!
